June 2008 Donations
Two $25.00 Gift certificates and 2 sweathshirts were dontated to the Yurok Tribe "KeeKeeyo Teynemo"- Spring Fling. This annual event provides community, educational and cultural information. This donation was approved by consensus by the Tribal Council.
By consensus the Tribal Council approved a $500.00 donation to the Smith River Rancheria Howonquet Head Start to purchase materials for necklaces for the graduation children.
The Tribal Council approved $242.00 for a field trip for the 5th grade class fo the Smith River Elementary School. These monies allowed this class of 29 students an opportunity to tour the Tall Ships in Crescent City.
$300.00 was donated to the Cub Scout Pack 4 of Smith River to purchase awards and handbooks. This donation benefits the community by encouraging the Cub Scouts in our area to protect and care for our environment. The Tribal Council approved this donation by consensus.
