About the Member

Dr. Joseph Giovannetti is a tribal psychologist ethno historian.  Joseph recently retired as a professor of Native Studies at Humboldt State University after 24 years. He holds a PhD in psychology from Sierra University. He is a regent for the California Tribal College in Woodland California. He serves on the Tolowa Dee-ni’ Nation Enrollment, Education and Tribal Court Committees. He also serves on the United Indian Health Services Executive, Governance, Audit and Cultural Resources committees. Joseph and his wife Carla are parents to two tribal citizens, Grant Giovannetti and Stephanie Kasinger and have ten grandchildren.
