Public Relations
Public Relations (PR) is the practice of managing and publicizing information from the Nation to tribal citizens and the community. The Public Relations Division under the general direction of the Tribal Council is responsible for overseeing the development of brand identity, social media platforms, content strategy, partnerships, events, press releases and more.
The Public Relations Manager arranges and manages communications to establish and maintain contact between the Nation and the public. In addition, this division handles article submission and plans layout of the Tribal Newsletter. The Tolowa Dee-n' Nation publishes a monthly newsletter to distribute to Tolowa Dee-ni' Membership. The newsletter features updates from Tribal Departments and Programs. As well as upcoming events, activities, and services offered.
Emily Reed joined the Nation in mid-September as the first Public Relations Manager under the Information Services Department. While it’s a new position for the Nation, in Emily's previous experience she has helped produce events, drive marketing strategies and has been dedicated and engaged in the local business community. With her editorial and marketing experience, she is passionate about innovating new ways to create content that is useful and effective.
Tribal Members, if you have articles, news, events or announcements that you wish to submit for publication in the Tribe's newsletter, please send information to: public.relations@tolowa.com
